DirectViz Solutions, (DVS) is a Service Disabled, Veteran-owned, Small Business (SDVOSB). We provide strategic consulting services to meet mission requirements for our government clients, by providing innovative Information Technology solutions to minimize risk and increase ROI. DVS is seeking an Deputy Program Manager in Fort Huachuca, Arizona.  The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Information Technology (IT) operations and provide timely reporting in both written and verbal formats. The ideal candidate will be someone who possesses experience in Project Management, Web Development/SharePoint, and Leadership.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with the IT software development lifecycle and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Consistently demonstrate knowledge and practical application of basic and advanced PMI project management lifestyle practices such as risks, issues, schedule, scope and reporting.
  • Consistently produce high quality deliverables and work products that meet company and customer expectations.
  • Oversee, lead, mentor, integrate with, leverage, and contribute to several teams and their respective team leads responsible for the full development life cycle of web applications.
  • Support Government clients with top-down project management throughout the entire product and project lifecycle; ensuring success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Review changes to project schedules, including meeting with business stakeholders to approve, implement and recommend beneficial changes.
  • Assist the Government in synchronizing requirements throughout the lifecycle of projects, within cost, schedule, and performance identifying any issues in project meetings.
  • Create, review, and update documents and matrices, and provide status reports.
  • Develop charts, tables, graphs, and diagrams that identify trends to assist in the analysis of capability problems.
  • Support the production of status and activity reports for contract deliverables.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active Secret Security clearance
  • BS in Management or IT related field, +6 years' related work experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with government agencies as a contractor or government staff
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an IT Project Manager
  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • IAT-II Certification (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, SSCP)
  • Strong SharePoint knowledge as a Power User or Site Collection Administrator
  • Web Development Frameworks (Agile/SCRUM)
  • Working knowledge/proficiency with Microsoft Project
  • Strong leadership abilities with concentration on productivity and morale

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Agile Development experience and/or Agile certification(s)
  • PMP certification
  • Knowledge Management
  • Risk Management (IAVA)
  • Ability to compose and deliver reports and presentations of the highest professional quality
  • Exhibit exceptional ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
  • Present high-level technical matters pertaining to assigned field and related disciplines
  • Ability and desire to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems with minimal supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Fluency in a foreign language

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Normal office working conditions with possible requirement to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
  • Periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.
