DirectViz Solutions, (DVS) is a Service Disabled, Veteran-owned, Small Business (SDVOSB). We provide strategic consulting services to meet mission requirements for our government clients, by providing innovative Information Technology solutions to minimize risk and increase ROI. DVS is seeking a Lead Information Assurance Specialist for a new opportunity in Huntsville, Alabama. This position requires an active Secret clearance.

 

 

Lead the customer's Cyber Operations Center, the candidate must have a strong technical background with the ability to analyze and interpret ACAS, STIG, SCAP, and various Big Data Platforms. Using various tools, the goal is to present a snapshot of this interpreted data using the CIA Triad as a guideline. To excel in this position, the candidate must understand differences between system and application logging as well as methods to interpret this data into meaningful metrics. A preferred candidate should be able to "replay" an incident with the customer in a Table Top Exercise Environment. This can be anything from a simulated network outage to a failed piece of equipment. Identifying these "Risks to Mission" is of utmost importance, and is the primary focus of this position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • The Privacy Act professional shall develop DRAFT policy, provide program oversight, and serves as the focal point or Federal, DoD and US Army Privacy matters
  • Support the Privacy program by providing day-to-day policy guidance and assistance in their implementation and execution of a Privacy program
  • Review new and existing policies which impact on the personal privacy of individuals; review, coordinate, and conduct and compete Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) on collection instruments that contain information subject to Privacy Act protection 
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the designated Privacy Official
  • Maintain RMF records for various systems

 

Required Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field or 3-5 years of experience in data sciences and/or cybersecurity
  • IAT II (Security+)
  • Knowledge of various Data Structures as well as System and Application Level Logging
  • Demonstrate ability to design and implement reports for various applications and systems
  • Excel in the explanation of what the data represents to various customers
  • Intimate knowledge of ACAS and vulnerability scanning methods
  • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively in team environments with Contractor and customer representatives
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of RMF from Categorization to ATO and Continuous Monitoring
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Privacy principal and practices in the US Government
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Privacy and Data Protection Federal, DoD and Army regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze Privacy's impact on organizational risk; ability to apply techniques and procedures to safeguard Personal Information (PII)
  • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively in team environments with Contractor and customer representatives
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of eMASS and HBSS

 

Preferred Experience:

  • IAM II (CASP, CAP, CISSP) must be obtained within 4 months of start
  • Knowledge of Incident Response per the NIST 800-30
  • Fluent in various Query Languages
  • Thorough knowledge of risk analysis and management, IT security including security policy and security control review, certification, systems administration, technical or auditing experience within the DoD

 

Special Requirements/Certifications/Clearances:

  • IAT Level 2 equivalent (Security+, GSEC, SSCP, or SCNP) - one of the 4 certifications is required
  • IAM Level II certification, at least one (CAP, CISSP, CISM, or GSLC) - one of the 4 certifications is required
  • Clearance Level: An active Secret clearance is required to start, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret
  • Travel Requirement: Not more than 15%
